After Epic Games added a direct payment method on its iOS app, Apple promptly removed Fortnite from the App Store. Removal means we can’t download the game to our iPhone or iPad.
This has even led people to sell iPhones and iPads with Fortnite pre-installed at a premium price on eBay. However, we can still reinstall Fortnite on our iPhone from the App Store by following this guide.
The good thing about the App Store is that if we download an app once on our device, it will always be available for download even if the app is banned or removed from the store. So, if we have previously downloaded Fortnite on your iPhone or iPad, we can still download it to our device.
How to reinstall Fortnite on iPhone and iPad:
- Let’s open the App Store on our iPhone. Tap on the profile icon in the top right corner and then on Purchases.
- Now, we’ll be shown a list of all the apps and games we’ve downloaded to our iPhone or iPad over the years. Let’s scroll down to bring up the search bar and search for Fortnite.
If we have previously installed Fortnite, it should appear in the search results. We tap on the download icon next to the game to start the installation process.
The above steps will only work for users who had previously downloaded Fortnite.
